PRPG opens internal consultation for conducting Master and Doctoral Programs in Innovation

The Dean of Graduate Studies (PRPG) of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), within the scope of its duties, makes public the INTERNAL CONSULTATION TO PROSPECT THE INTEREST OF TEACHERS OF THE UFPB GRADUATE PROGRAMS AT CALL N. 12 / 2020 / CNPq - MAI / DAI PROGRAM - MASTER AND ACADEMIC DOCTORATE.

Researchers must submit proposals with at least one of the Priority Technology Areas of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC), as established in MCTIC Ordinance No. 1,122 / 2020, with the text amended by MCTIC Ordinance No. 1,329 / 2020 ( http://www.in.gov.br/en/web/dou/-/portaria-n-1.329-de-27-de-marco-de-2020-250263672 ).

The purpose of MAI / DAI is to contribute to increasing the innovative capacity, competitiveness of companies and scientific and technological development in the country, at the same time that it intends to strengthen the Regional Innovation Systems.

According to the CNPq call, the Priority Technologies areas of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC) are:

Strategic Technologies, in the following sectors: Space; Nuclear; Cybernetics; and Public and Border Security;
Enabling Technologies, in the following sectors: Artificial Intelligence; Internet of Things; Advanced Materials; Biotechnology; and Nanotechnology;
Production Technologies, in the following sectors: Industry; Agribusiness; Communications; Infrastructure; and Services;
Technologies for Sustainable Development, in the following sectors: Smart and Sustainable Cities; Renewable energy; Bioeconomy; Solid Waste Treatment and Recycling; Pollution Treatment; Monitoring, prevention and recovery of natural and environmental disasters; and Environmental Preservation;
Technologies for Quality of Life, in the following sectors: Health; Sanitation; Water Security; and Assistive Technologies.

The MCTIC will also consider as priority the basic research, humanities and social sciences projects that contribute, to some degree, to the development of the Priority Technologies Areas of the MCTIC, being, therefore, considered compatible with the requested adherence requirement.
